ON PARADE FOR WELSH SCHOOLBOYS

OUR BOYS SPEND TIME IN CAMP WITH THE ARMY

AS the annual Easter test match against England Youth draws nearer, this weekend saw the Wales Schoolboys attend an overnight camp in Chester at the home of the 1st Battalion the Royal Welsh (Royal Welch Fusiliers). With the stay hosted at their barracks in Chester the squad got to sample army life whilst also getting in valuable preparation as a squad ready for April 6th.

As well as spending time on the barracks the squad also got the opportunity to train at the Wigan Warriors training ground in Orrell whilst gaining extra coaching from the Warriors staff during a training session.

With the test match drawing nearer the camp gave the coaching staff the opportunity to work with the players on an intensive basis whilst also allowing them to educate them around other areas of becoming a professional player. This included subjects such as planning for improvement and diet and nutrition.

All staff at Wales Rugby League would like to thank the staff at the 1st Battalion the Royal Welsh for their kind hospitality and assistance in getting the stay organised.
