South Wales Academy under 16s trials

WALES Rugby League will be holding an open trial for their South Wales Academy under 16 squad on February 2nd at Cardiff Arms Park.

WALES Rugby League will be holding an open trial for their South Wales Academy under 16 squad on February 2nd at Cardiff Arms Park.

 

The trial starts at 1pm and players selected will form the squad which will play eight fixtures from February to July.

 

WRL Performance Coach Jon Ellis said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for any youngsters to play for South Wales in matches against Super League and Championship Academies this coming season. We are looking to develop the next generation of players who will become professional and international athletes.

 

"Any player who would like to give this a go should register with the Wales Rugby League on our website and we look forward to seeing you there."

 

To register for the trials, please download a form by clicking here and return it to mark.jones@walesrugbyleague.co.uk by Friday January 24th 2014.

 

All of last year's squad who are still eligible for the under 16s, still need to turn up to this trial.

 

To be eligible, the player’s birth date has to be on or between 01/01/97 to 31/08/99 (school years 10 and 11).
