Wales Rugby League are running a North Wales referees course  at Deeside Leisure Centre, Queensferry, on Saturday 26th May. The course will qualify new officials to take charge of games in the summer league, or student games in the winter season. It runs from 10 am until 4 pm.

Being a referee or a touch judge is great way to be involved and is often described as being in the best seat in the house. Over the last couple of years, there has been a huge increase in Rugby League in the North Wales so now is an exciting to get involved.

It is a great way of staying involved actively in the game if you are a player who is thinking of retiring, or an ex player. It's also been a way into the sport for a number of dual-code referees, and the RFL would be glad to hear from officials of winter sports who would like to turn their hand to a summer field sport.

The entry level award takes one day to complete, and once achieved it does not expire. Cost of the course is only £25 for adults and £12.50 for Under 18's and students.
