Around the Leagues: August 4-5

Despite a smaller round of fixtures last weekend, eight Wales internationals were in action with their clubs.

In the semi-finals of the Challenge Cup at the University of Bolton Stadium, Regan Grace and Morgan Knowles were both in action for St Helens in their 35-16 defeat to Catalans Dragons.

In League 1, meanwhile, Ben Morris was in the centres for Workington Town in their 34-12 victory over Keighley Cougars.

Paul Emanuelli and James Geurtjens were both in Coventry Bears' side for their 46-4 loss at home to Doncaster.

Dalton Grant started on the wing for Bradford Bulls in their comfortable 46-0 success over Whitehaven.

Steve Parry was in the halves for West Wales Raiders in their 86-6 defeat at home to Hunslet. The rest of the Raiders' side was packed with Welshmen.

Over in Australia, Josh Ralph featured for Easts Tigers in their 26-18 win over West Brisbane Panthers in the Brisbane Rugby League Premiership.

Caleb Aekins, who was named in John Kear's train-on squad for the 2017 World Cup, started at fullback for Penrith Panthers in their 38-10 success over Western Suburbs Magpies in the Intrust Super Premiership (New South Wales).
