DAI EVANS DRAFTED IN TO WALES' 22-MAN SQUAD

Dai Evans has been brought in to Wales’ 22-man squad in place of Calvin Wellington for the autumn internationals

Dai Evans has been brought in to Wales’ 22-man squad in place of Calvin Wellington for the autumn internationals.

Wellington, who plies his trade at Super League club St Helens, has picked up a hamstring injury and is unavailable to feature for Wales.

As the seven players from the train-on squad who were left out of the 22-man squad are also unavailable, Evans has been drafted in to the squad.

The 24-year-old winger plays for South Wales Ironmen, one of Wales’ two semi-professional clubs.

Evans, who has played for numerous rugby union clubs across South Wales and the Ospreys' academy, had a decent season with the Ironmen in 2016, crossing for six tries in 11 matches.
