Wales Under 18s Trial Announced

Trial on Sunday 22nd May 2016 at Cardiff Metropolitan University, 3:30-6:30pm

The Wales under 18 coaching team has been formed and an open trial is scheduled for Sunday 22nd May at 3.30pm at the Cyncoed campus of Cardiff Metropolitan University, Cyncoed Road, Cardiff, CF23 6XD.


The trial starts at 3.30pm and the players who are selected will form the squad that will play in the fixture against the England Community Lions on October 8th. After which, they will be invited to watch the Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford.


The squad selected from the trial this Sunday will prepare for the big match through a number of training sessions and two weekend long camps. Within this preparation period, warm up games, training sessions and strict strength and condition programmes will need to be adhered to, while top class international level training facilities will provide the best experience to the selected players.


To be eligible, a player must be born between 1st September 1997 and 31st August 1999 (current school year 12 and 13) and either be born in Wales, have Welsh parents or grandparents or be resident for at least three years.
