More Coaches Qualified in Wales
Level 1 Course a Success in South Wales
Wales Rugby League coaching tutors signed off a further 8 candidates on the RLEF Level 1 coaching course held in South Wales this weekend. Qualified Coaches being an essential aspect to improving the environment for players.
Jon Ellis, WRL Coaching and Performance Manager, who is also the RLEF coach educator who delivered the course said "This was a great course to run, all the candidates were very eager to learn and are a great credit to the clubs they represented. The enthusiasm shown on the course by some relatively new to the sport, shows people are continuing to embrace rugby league and it has a bright future. Improved levels of coaching will help to retain and develop more players in the sport and ensure participation levels continue to rise across Wales".
Ellis continued "coaches have also been encouraged to share ideas and continue to signpost keen parents and volunteers onto coaching courses. The course this weekend will see many clubs benefit including Aber Valley Wolves, South Wales University, DC Wildcats, Bridgend Blue Bulls and Cardiff City RLFC. Congratulations to all concerned".
