Bridgend Blue Bulls maintained their unbeaten start to the season as they emerged victors in an entertaining game.

Both sides took time to settle before Bridgend took the lead through a brace of tries from Kieran Hooper, neither of which were goaled.

The Wolves hit back with a try from winger Nick Hogg, Bobby Andrews adding the extras.

Huw Rosser increased the Blue Bulls lead with a try improved upon by Owen Davies before Aber’s Rhys Hutcherson powered over for a try which went unconverted.

Gareth Howells marked his return to Blue Bulls colours by adding a try converted by Davies before Sion Jones crossed for a try for the home side converted by Andrews. Xavier Manaseitava added further try which went unconverted to bring up the half time score of Wolves 16 Blue Bulls 24.

The second half followed a similar pattern. Tom Hanson crossed for Bridgend with Davies wide with the conversion before two quick tries from the Wolves by Gareth Hutcherson and a second for Sion Jones both converted by Aaron Evans tied the scores up.

Blue Bulls refused to lie down and retook their lead when Dai Griggs scored from his own kick chase through and Jack Dryden followed him over the line for a well worked try both converted by Davies. Scrum half Joe Symons added a speculative drop goal from 30 metres out to ensure the game finished with a victory for his side.
