Demons hammered at Broncos

The Broncos didn't have to wait long for their first try at home with the game only four minutes old Captain,  player coach Richard Brooks crashed over his Brother Ian missing the conversion.

From this moment on it was very much one way traffic for the next 20 minutes with the Demons struggling to get any possession. Tries followed with this pressure with Nick Clancy, Jonathan Jones, James Bija, Jonathan Jones getting his second followed very quickly buy his third in between his hat-trick Jason Howells scored a brace all the tries converted by Ian Brooks.

The Demons they didn't give in and scored two tries before half time one of them being converted. Score at half time was 44-10 to the Broncos.

The second half was very much the same as the first with the pressure starting straight from the kick-off with  Robert Jones leading the way with a display of power and pace getting him a second half hat-trick. Further tries from James Bija, Trystan Heardman, Nick Clancy and Richard Williams taking the Broncos to over the 80 points, again Ian Brooks and Stuart Allen sharing the kicking between them.  Credit must go to the never say die attitude of the Demons and player coach Idris Evans who rallied his troops to score another try at the death to make it 84-14, the Broncos now head into a tough few days as they are home to the Valley Cougars on Wednesday then away to the Blue Bulls next Saturday.

Coaches Mike Healy and the Brooks brothers must be happy with the new players who between them scored seven tries out of the total of 15 scored.
