Three matches will take place in the Welsh Rugby League Conference Premier this weekend with some teams facing each other for the first time ever.

At Bonymaen RFC, the Bonymaen Broncos host Cardiff Demons. The Demons have lost their last two games but they have been against the top two sides from last year and although Bonymaen are unbeaten this will be the first time they have come across a side with a number of seasoned League players including player coach Idris Evans, Joey Davies and Rob Davies.

The Broncos beat Dyffryn Devils 76-16 a fortnight ago and in their side will be brothers Ian and Richard Brooks who both starred for Wales Dragonhearts last year and Swansea RFC wing James Bija so it should be a tough match and game of the day.

Meanwhile at Penybanc RFC, the Devils host Bridgend Blue Bulls. Grant Epton’s wedding means the reigning Champions will be without a number of star players including player-coach Craig Fox and Dragonhearts duo Garth David and Gareth Howells, but they are boosted by the return of Chris McGrath in the second row and speedster Lindsay McCausland, plus a number of young players are expected to make their debuts alongside former Celtic Crusader Lee Harben-Jones.

Despite their recent heavy defeat to the Broncos, Devils Team Manager Chris Davies is in confident mood saying: “The lads are enjoying themselves and are looking forward to welcoming the Bulls. They have lots of big forwards and it will probably be our toughest ever match but all will give 100% and fight till the end and hope we can pull off a shock win.”

The final game sees Valley Cougars host the Titans at RFC at Treharris RFC. The Cougars beat the Titans twice last season but both games were extremely close and after a difficult start to the season the Titans welcome back a number of there star players.

But they will have their work cut out against a strong Cougars team who will field a number of Dragonhearts players including Paul Emanuelli, Rhodri Morris and James Allen.

All games kick off at 2pm.
