Welsh duo in Wigan side for World clash

Wigan Warriors Head Coach Shaun Wane has today named his 19 man squad for Saturday's World Club Challenge against the Sydney Roosters at the Allianz Stadium, the game has an 8pm KO (local time), 9am (UK).

And Welsh duo Ben Flower and Gil Dudson have, as expected, both been named as part of the 19.

Unfortunately, Wales' joint record cap holder Jordan James didn't make the cut. He is one of eight Wigan tourists not to be selected.

Flower said: ""Going down under, not many sides go down there and win but I guess if we can pull out a great performance down there ... after what we did at Wembley and Old Trafford, we can definitely go down there and win."

Wigan have had a full squad to choose from with the exception of former South Wales Scorpions dual registered player Sam Powell, who misses out after picking up an ankle injury in training last week.

As expected both Skipper Sean O'Loughlin and Winger Josh Charnley are included in the squad after recovering from injury, both missed the season opener against Huddersfield Giants earlier this month.
