Wales RL are currently recruiting volunteers for the South Wales Conference Management Committee.

Due to the continued growth of the South Wales Conference Senior & Junior Leagues, Wales RL are currently recruiting volunteers to form a new South Wales Conference Management Committee (similar to North West Counties committee and various other Rugby League Service Area committees) which will be set up as a sub group supporting the development of Rugby League in the Community.


The South Wales Management Committee will meet up as and when they need to throughout the year (3 – 4 times) and Club meetings will be arranged throughout the year to action previous minutes and discuss matters arising (3 – 4 times).


The group will consist of the following volunteer roles:


Chair Person – Idris Evans (Club Board member)


Website Manager

Discipline and Welfare Manager


Fixture Maanager

Registration Officer

South Wales League PR Manager 

WRL Representative – Mark Jones 

South Wales Match Officials Manager – Ian Curzon


These roles are Voluntary positions which we need to fill and with this in mind if you think you feel you could do a fantastic job for RL in South Wales and could fill one of the remaining 7 positions then we would like to hear from you. 


The advantages of having this group is an increased level of support to deal with the continuous growth and expansion of the game, clear lines of responsibility and accountability, and a sustainable structure for the region going forward.

Wales Rugby League will be holding a Senior Competition Review meeting at Sophia Gardens on Monday 23rd of September at 7pm and a Junior Competition Review on Monday 30th of September to discuss the 2013 season and Strategies that need to be implemented for the 2014 season.
