In an enthralling day at Gloucestershire Warriors RLFC, two England v Wales matches defied all odds and both finished level at 16-16.
England Lionhearts, a side that has never beaten any Wales side, came the closest they've ever come to putting one over on the Dragons but still couldn't get that elusive win.
It wasn't the Wales A side that they were facing today though, it was the principality's student set-up, playing a warm-up match before flying to Australia to compete in the Student Rugby League World Cup.
Wales took a 4-0 lead through two early Dean Scully penalties. A Ryan Knight try in the 14th minute brought scores level before a Daniel ap Dafydd try after an excellent passing move and a first-class 40-metre penalty kick from Scully put Wales 10-4 up.
In the final play of the first half, Grant Farrow latched onto an Alex Williams grubber kick to ground and Craig Campbell's conversion brought the scores level at half-time.
But England were blown-up for being offside from the second half kick-off. Following the resulting penalty, Daniel ap Dafydd ran in for a try. Scully converted to give Wales a six-point lead.
Farrow's second try ten minutes later brought England within two before his team-mate Paul Lofthouse was sinbinned for mis-conduct.
However, Wales failed to take advantage of the extra man and it was England who came closest to scoring in the next ten minutes, Andrew Lake being held up on the line as he tried to ground the ball.
England finally brought things level with a Paul Lord penalty kick in the 73rd minute and Wales could only despair after seeing two fieldgoal attempts from Geraint Davies and Scully go inches wide in the final five minutes.
